Global technology leader Xiaomi today announced Mi 8 Lite in Bangladesh, the latest model in the company’s flagship Mi 8 series tailored for young people who demand an amazing smartphone photography experience for their active social media lifestyle.
Mi 8 Lite features a glass back panel that has a stunning, mirror-like gradient finish. With a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor on the front, and the Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 660 AIE SoC under the hood, Mi 8 Lite will fulfill the needs of those who want great photos and an amazingly fluid experience on their smartphones.
Sanket Agarwal, Head – Overseas expansion, Indian sub continent, Xiaomi India said: “We are excited to introduce the new Mi 8 Lite in Bangladesh. Powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC and possessing an incredible 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor camera, Mi Lite 8 brings the best of smart technology with amazing specs at a truly honest price to all our Mi Fans in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a promising market for us, and our focus here will remain towards bringing the best of our innovative technology to our consumers and Mi Fans in Bangladesh.”
Stylish gradient design
The design of Mi 8 Lite was inspired by the works of famous French Impressionist painter Claude Monet, whose paintings are renowned for bringing out the effect of light on natural colors. The glass back employs an advanced NCVM color process, resulting in a mesmerizing mirror-like gradient finish. The 7.5mm slim body of Mi 8 Lite contains a 6.26-inch 19:9 LCD Full Screen Display, with an FHD+ (2246 x 1080) screen resolution and a Corning® Gorilla GlassTM 5 surface on the front.
24MP front camera produces amazing selfies
With over 24 million pixels, the front-facing Sony IMX576 sensor on Mi 8 Lite is able to capture images in great detail. In low light conditions, the sensor uses Super Pixel technology to combine the information of four pixels into one large pixel, resulting in improved clarity, especially in indoor scenarios. As with Mi 8, the rear AI dual camera uses the Sony IMX363 as its main sensor, which comes with 1.4µm large pixels for images with less noise, along with Dual Pixel Autofocus to dramatically improve focusing speeds so you won’t miss your shot.
The high-performance camera hardware is paired with Xiaomi’s advanced AI features, including a new AI adjustable bokeh that allows you to change the depth of field after taking a picture. Meanwhile, the Mi 8 Lite display can light up in different colors to suit different scenarios when taking selfies, intelligently illuminating the face with the right color temperature for great-looking selfies.
Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 660 for a fast, fluid experience
Mi 8 Lite is powered by the Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 660 octa-core SoC with Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE) designed for high performance and great power efficiency. Enjoy a smooth, lag-free experience when watching movies, playing games, or browsing the web thanks to the Qualcomm® KryoTM architecture, Qualcomm® AdrenoTM 512 GPU, and 4GB LPDDR4X RAM.
Mi 8 Lite sports a 3350mAh battery and supports Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM 3.0. It also offers AI face unlock and a rear fingerprint sensor so securing your device is a seamless experience.
Mi 8 Lite will be available from Friday, 4 January 2019 onwards on AUthorized Mi Stores, Retailers, Partner channels and Daraz ; in Aurora Blue and Midnight Black colour variants for BDT 24,999.
