The Bangladeshi multinational electronics brand ‘Walton’ has started the export of its produced ‘Made in Bangladesh’ tagged air conditioner to India.
Under the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) system, Walton has been supplying various sorts of electronics like AC, fridge, TV etc. to different countries, along with some global brands. This time, Walton has exported a large volume of IoT (Internet of Things) based Smart and Inverter air conditioner to India.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal officially inaugurated the Walton’s AC export activities to India at Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited (WHIL) at Chandra in Gazipur on March 1, 2020.
During that time, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar and State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak also attended the event.
Among others, WHIL’s Chairman SM Nurul Alam Rezvi, Vice-Chairman SM Shamsul Alam, Managing Director SM Ashraful Alam, Directors SM Mahbubul Alam, SM Rezaul Alam, SM Monjurul Alam, Tahmina Afrose Tanna, Raisa Sigma Hima and Rifah Tasnia Swarna were present at the function.
Walton AC’s Chief Executive Director Md. Tanvir Rahman said that Walton has been moving ahead with a goal of grabbing the leading position in the global arena like the domestic market.
To reach the goal, Walton took initiative to expand its export market in the developed countries like India, Australia, America and Europe, he said and noted that thus, Walton has been establishing strategic partnership with the renowned regional and global brands of different countries.
As a part of such initiative, Walton inked agreement with some multinational brands to expand its AC export market in India, informing it he confirmed that following these agreement, Walton is exporting 22K units of AC under the OEM basis to India.
Walton AC’s Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Walter Kim said that Walton’s R&D (Research and Development) team comprising local and international skilled engineers has been able to manufacture air conditioners conforming to the world’s any country’s weather. Walton is fully prepared to supply air conditioner as per the customer’s demand in the global market, he added.
Now, Walton R&D team has been manufacturing world-class with advanced technologies such as voice command, third eye, frost clean and e-repeller, informing it Walton AC’s CTO noted that these technologies ACs will be released to the market soon.
Walton brand’s Smart and Inverter ACs save up to 60 percent electricity. The Turbomood in the compressor of Inverter ACs cools the room reducing its temperature quickly. In this technology, the speed of the compressor is controlled according to the temperature of the room through special programming of microprocessor installed on the PCB or motherboard of the compressor. World’s recognized environmental-friendly HFC free R410A refrigerant is used on Walton ACs. Rust-resistant Golden Fin Color Technology is being used in condensers of Walton ACs which ensures the longevity of the cooling product.
