Walton specially involved with the Ministry of Labour and Employment, says Labour Secretary at Divisional IT Fair

Labour and Employment Secretary A.H.M Shafiquzzaman said: Walton is specially involved with the Ministry of Labour and Employment as a large number of people are getting employment through Walton. Walton is creating skilled manpower and making important contributions to the overall economy of Bangladesh. Walton manufactures electronics and technology products including refrigerators, ACs, TVs, which used to cost a lot of foreign currency to import. Through this, huge amount of foreign currency is being saved. Moreover, Walton products are currently being exported to 44 countries in 4 continents. As a result, our foreign exchange reserves are increasing.

The Labour Secretary made those remarks while inaugurating the Walton Computer Divisional IT Fair as the chief guest of a function held at ECS Computer City at Multiplan Center in the capital on Thursday evening (October 17).
Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited, the country’s top technology manufacturer, has organized the IT Fair. The first phase of the fair of Dhaka Division is being held from October 18 to October 21 at ECS Computer City of Multiplan Center in Elephant Road. The IT Fair of Walton Computer will be gradually held in other divisional cities as well.
Customers can enjoy a maximum of 20 percent discount on exchange of their old and damaged products at the IT Fair and up to 50 percent discount on online e-plaza’s ‘Exclusive Offer’ along with special gifts on the purchase of various Walton Computer products.
Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited’s Additional Managing Director Liakat Ali, ECS Computer City’s Member Secretary Nazrul Islam Hazari and Co-Convener Ohidul Islam Dipu were among others present on the occasion.
Appreciating Walton’s Computer Exchange offer, Labour and Employment Secretary A.H.M Shafiquzzaman said: This initiative helps e-waste management as well as customers are getting special discounts on buying new Walton products in exchange of their old or damaged products. He urged everyone to use products manufactured by domestic brands. It will decrease our import dependency, boost domestic industrialization and create more employment, he added.
In the event, Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited’s Additional Managing Director Liakat Ali said that ‘Computer Exchange Offer Season-4’ is currently being conducted across the country. In this season, customers can exchange their old or damaged laptop, desktop, all-in-one PC, monitor, printer, tab, speaker, CCTV products and get maximum discount of 20 percent in buying similar new products of Walton brand. This discount facility is also available for purchase of products on 6 months installments or EMI facilities. Besides, buyers are getting up to 50 percent discount on the purchase of IT products in ‘Exclusive Offer’ from online sales platform e-Plaza. Besides, customers are being given free products while purchasing various IT products of Walton. Customers can enjoy all the facilities at the Divisional IT Fair.
