Walton posts record fan sales in summer

The country’s electronics giant Walton has witnessed a record sales of its fan in this summer as the sales of its fan during January to May of 2019 surpassed its last year’s total fan sales by about 83.15 percent.

Walton authorities said, last year they sold total of 2.73 lakh units of fan, including ceiling, table, rechargeable, wall, pedestal and exhaust. During the months of January to May of 2019, around 5 lakh units of Walton fan were sold, an 83.15 percent higher than the last year’s entire fan sales of the local brand.

In addition, the target of selling out 3.10 lakh units of fan, set by the company for the period of January to May’19, was also surpassed by nearly 61.29 percent.
Along with the sales of fan, the local brand posted a sharp growth in the sales of its various models of air cooler in the local market.

Uday Hakim, executive director of Walton Group, said that Walton is manufacturing international standards ceiling, table, rechargeable, wall, pedestal and exhaust at its own factory with the advanced technologies and machineries of Japan, Germany, and Taiwan.

To ensure the highest standards of these fan, he said, Walton is strongly following the standards of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

As a result, Walton made fan is being not only gaining huge customers’ popularity but also exporting to different nations of Asia, Middle East and Africa regions, he added.
Md Janesar Ali, product manager for air cooler of Walton, said, they targeted to sell double number of air cooler compared to the last year’s sales.

To achieve the target, they released advanced technologies air coolers of unique features like supper sensitive touch control panel, remote control system, water shortage alarm and ionizer. Prices of these air coolers are ranging from Tk 5,500 to Tk 14,000.

Omar Khalid, product manager of Walton fan, said, sales of their various types of fan are beyond expectation. Chilly air flow, durability, affordability, varieties designs with lucrative colours of Walton fan are resulted in becoming the customers’ top brand, he noted.
In this summer, Walton released 15 models of ceiling fan with stylish designs between Tk 2,540 and Tk 2,940. Customers are getting 9 models of Walton rechargeable fan from Tk 3,690 to Tk 4,200, 8 models of wall fan with dark blue, blue, sky blue, cream white and white colour between Tk 2,290 and Tk 2,750, six

models of table fan with dark blue, sky blue and cream while from Tk 2,090 to Tk 2,800, two models of pedestal fan with tripod stand at Tk 5,200 each and more 12 models without tripod between Tk 2,700 and Tk 6,000, two models of exhaust fan at Tk 700 and Tk 800.

Customers are enjoying easy installment facility up to 36 months and swift post sales services through more than 70 service centers across the country under the ISO standard service management system.
