Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC’s Managing Director and CEO Golam Murshed declared 2022 as Walton’s ‘Efficient Year’.
Walton CEO came up with the announcement while addressing the ‘Walton Day-2022’ celebrations at Walton Hi-Tech Industries Headquarters in Chandra of Gazipur on Sunday last (March 20, 2022),
Golam Murshed said, ‘Establishing Walton as a sustainable leading global brand is our main target now. Skill development among officials is given importance in Walton as all of us working here are acting as family members. “Triple D”- Data Driven Decisions policy is being followed to assess their competence. I believe our target will be fulfilled with the concentration, determination and courage of every member of this family.
Earlier in the day, Golam Murshed hoisted the national flag and Walton flag at its headquarters in Chandra marking the ‘Walton Day’ celebrations. The celebration was begun with flying balloons and releasing white doves with cutting giant cakes. Besides planting trees, he also took part in a joyous rally with colourful banner, placards. The rally marched around the Walton factory. He also served sweets to the factory personnel to celebrate the day. Golam Murshed also launched the new website of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC during the event.
MD and CEO Golam Murshed also unveiled the highest amount of profit-share for its employees for the 2020-21FY as it is shared each year. Walton shares its profits under the Workers’ Profit Participation and Welfare Fund with employees. This year each employee got Tk.39,198 as profit-bonus which is so far highest. Among the amount, each employee instantly received Tk.26,132 while another Tk.92,965,314 is being deposited to the government’s labour welfare fund. In total, Walton provided Tk.929,653,138 to the Workers’ Profit Participation and Welfare Fund.
Mentionable, various colorful programs were arranged at all Walton offices at home and abroad along with its sales outlets, service centers and factory on the occasion of the Walton Day.
