With the advent of winter, the Bangladeshi multinational electronics manufacturer Walton has brought around 150 models of different sorts of home appliances in the local market to meet the growing demands for home appliances during the winter.
In the last couple of winters, demands for various sorts of electronics and home appliances like room heater water heater or geyser, electric kettle, electric lunch box, microwave and electric oven, induction cooker, rice cooker, vacuum flask, washing machine, clothe dryer, hair dryer, coffee maker etc have been jumped up sharply in the domestic market.
Thus, the local electronics giant has released nearly 150 models of over 20 sorts of home appliances with the target of meeting the major portion of the internal demands of home appliances during the winter.
To lure the customers, Walton has also offered various benefits like attractive cash discounts, foreign tour, free home delivery etc. For the customers of washing machine, the local brand offered free couple tour to Thailand, Malaysia and Nepal under its recently announced ‘Couple Carnival’ offer.
Walton also started ‘Year End Winter Clearance Sales’ for the online customers. Under the offer, customers will enjoy cash discounts up to 20 percent on the purchase of home appliances from Walton E-plaza. Besides, customers will get 10 percent cash discounts, along with six months installment facilities at zero interest, on bkash or cards’ payments.
Walton has released 12 models of washing machine; 9 models of room heater; 6 models of water heater or geyser, 25 models of rice cooker; 23 models of iron, 19 models of blender and juicer, 2 models of electric oven and 11 models of microwave oven, 14 models of electric kettle; 8 models of water purifier and 3 models of water dispenser, 5 models of trimmer, 4 models of hair dryer, 3 models of electric multi cooker, 4 models of pressure cooker, 2 models of each mixer, hair straightener, vacuum flask, vacuum cleaner, shaver and ruti-maker, 1 models of each induction cooker, infrared cooker and coffee maker. Of these, about 50 models are newly released centering this winter.
Atikul Islam, chief operating officer of Walton home appliances, said that Walton brand home appliances has won the customers’ faith and attention due to its some uniqueness, including high quality, affordable prices, wide varieties of designs and colours and assurance of swift after sales service.
In the period of January to November of 2019, they sold out almost doubled number of home appliances of the same period’s sales of the previous year. That means, Walton registered about 100 percent growth in the sales of home appliances in January to November of 2019, he added.
In the same period, Walton posted 132 percent growth in gas stoves sales, 128 percent sales growth for blender, 206 percent growth for rice cooker, 86 percent growth for washing machine, 35 percent for oven, 77 percent for iron, 19 percent for generator sales.
Md Mashroor Hasan, product manager (home and electrical appliances) of Walton Group, Walton has released air purifier at the price of Tk 20,500 as its new home appliance in this winter.
In addition, they are offering one model of induction cooker at Tk 3,300 and infrared cooker at Tk 3,250 as well as two models of hot plate cooker at Tk 2,000 and Tk 3,000.
Customers can buy 23 models of Walton brand iron between Tk 730 and Tk 5,850; two models of electric oven at Tk 5,800 and Tk 6,000; 11 models of microwave ovens of different sizes from Tk 6,990 to Tk 19,500; 12 models of washing machine between Tk 6,900 and Tk 45,500.
Walton engineers said, a team of skilled and experienced workforce under the research and development department is designing the home appliances according to the customer’s taste and purchasing power capacity. They followed ‘zero tolerance’ policy at the production level to ensure highest standard of their appliances.
