Mintu Ranjon Dhor, a businessman in Jagannath Upazilla in Sunamganj, has been awarded with Tk 1 lakh as 12 years electricity bill on the purchase of Walton brand air conditioner (AC) under the local brand’s ongoing digital campaign season 5 across the country.
On behalf of Mintu, his brother Dr. Modusudhon Dhor received Tk 1 lakh from Film actor Saymon Sadik at a programme held at Abdus Samad Azad Auditorium in Jagganathpur recently.
The programme was also attended, among others, by Rejaul Karim Riju, general secretary of Awami League’s Jagannathpur Upazilla unit, Iqbal Hossain Bhuiyan, general secretary of Awami League’s Poura unit, Monoar Ali, general secretary of Awami League’s Syedpur Union unit, Afsar Uddin Bhuiyan, president of Jagannathpur Bazar Banik Samity, Asaduzzaman, area manager for Sylhet Zone of Walton Distributor Sales Network, Walton Distributor outlet Popular Electronic’s Proprietor Zulfikar Ali Mony and some other local persons.
Walton has been offering up to Tk 1 lakh free as 12 years electricity or sure cash back, free installation and some other benefits on the registration of purchased AC under the nationwide ongoing Digital Campaign Season- 5.
The local brand has been conducting the campaign across the country aimed to accelerate the process of bringing its post sales services under the digitalized system through preparing online customer database. During this campaign, product’s details, including customer name and contact number, are stored on Walton’s server. The database will help customers getting quick after sales service from any Walton service center even if the warranty card is lost. Service center representatives can also get customers’ feedback.
Dr Modusudhon Dhor said that his elder brother (Mintu) has a confectionery business in Jagannathpur Bazar. For his confectionery, Mintu purchased three air conditioners on November 23 last from Popular Electronics, a local distributor outlet of Walton. Then he registered the purchased AC in his name and mobile phone number. After a while, he received a SMS in his registered mobile phone number from Walton with the notification that he got Tk 1 lakh as 12 years electricity bill free.
Addressing the function, film actor Saymon Sadik said, “The Bangladeshi brand Walton is now manufacturing international standards air conditioner within the country and then supplying those in the domestic market at reasonable prices with some other attractive facilities. After meeting the local demand, Walton made air conditioners are now being exported to different countries of the world.”
