The Tide of Change in the e-Commerce Sector

The e-commerce sector in the country has witnessed a positive change. This change has been brought on by entrepreneurs in this sector. Together, they want to take the country one step further on the path of a true digital and smart Bangladesh. ‘The Change Makers’ are such a group of entrepreneurs.

The e-commerce association of Bangladesh (e-Cab), which was stuck in nepotism and arbitrariness, has broken the shackles with the promise of making it a member’s organisation through the election of a few change makers.

At several events held to interact with e-commerce members recently, a number of members expressed their views and said that what change makers can do if they are elected. It’s a big deal to bring an organisation to the polls. And the change is right in front of the eyes. The members who did not get the evaluation are now at the centre. The positive commitment and work of Change Makers seems to be clearly ahead in this election. In particular, their positive publicity is coming to the fore.

One of the members said that the good aspect of change makers’ manifesto is a commitment to bring changes among the members too. In continuation of this, a nine-member panel named ‘Change Makers’ was announced for the elections to be held on June 18 through a ceremony.

The members of the panel are- Shafquat Haider (Ciproco Computer), Waseem Alim (BanglaMeds), Md. Tashdik Habib (Cleanforce), Zeeshan Kingshuk Haque (RTS Enterprise), Mozammel Haque Mridha (Kinley. com), Abu Sufian Nilove (NijolCreative), Biplob Ghosh Rahul (eCourier), Ilmul Haque Sajib (Sheba. xyz) and Nusrat Akhtar Lopa (Hur Nusrat). Everyone on the panel is a confident of many known faces and members in the industry. ‘Change Makers’ has been able to create an image through various innovative activities, including the Modern Equation Campaign, Members’ Engagement Meet-up.

In response to a question on who to choose in the election and why, one of the members said, “I will choose the right and the first to do the job.” I want a new face and change. Let it come in the hands of change makers. Already their initiative to reduce the fee in the elections has impressed.

Another member said, “We want to go on a new path of positivity by leaving behind the instability of the e-commerce sector and the controversial activities of some people.” I hope the responsibility goes into the right hands. That’s why the need of the hour is for us to accept change.
