Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) and BASIS has arranged a reception program of BASIS President Shameem Ahsan on 26 may at BCS Innovation center at DhanMondi, Dhaka.
The Executive Council election of FBCCI for the tenure of 2015-17 was held on Saturday where Mr. Shamem Ahsan contended as a panel member of “Unnoyon Porishod Panel” led by Mr. Matlub Ahmad in the Association Group. Mr. Shameem took 4th place with 1038 votes among the 33 candidates of the Association Group.
63 contenders participated against 32 post of Director. 30 from chamber group and 33 from association group competed in the election. There were 432 voters from chamber group and 1,774 voters from association group out of 2,206 voters in total. 32 members in total have been elected in both chamber and association categories. 12 members from chamber group and 13 members from association group have been elected under the “Unnoyon Porishod” banner.
The President and Vice President from chamber group and First Vice President from Association group will be elected on Monday. The new committee will be announced after the election of the three top positions on May 28, 2015.
BASIS President Mr. Shameem Ahsan said that, “I am really delighted winnig the election of FBCCI, the top most trade body of the country, for the very first time. I’ll try to work for the expansion of IT based business, facilitating capital for the SMEs and young entrepreneurs. I’ll also work for opening one stop service for the advisory support for the new businessmen, making Bangladesh as an investment friendly country and creating skilled manpower to cope up the foreign companies with proper vocational training.
