Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah Riyad have got their positions up in the latest ICC T20 rankings although Bangladesh lost the three-match T20 series 1-2 against West Indies in Dhaka on Saturday.
Bangladesh captain Shakib, who returned to the national team in the just-concluded series against West Indies after recovering from finger injury, scored 103 runs to advance to the 37th place, jumping seven steps ahead.
The all-rounder, who was made man of the series in the T20 series against West Indies, moved three steps ahead to the 7th place from 10th position in bowling, grabbing eight wickets.
The ranking of Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad also improved in both batting and bowling.
Mahmudullah moved to 31st place, advancing two steps forward in batting scoring 66 runs and upgraded 17 steps forward in bowling to settle for 51st place, claiming five wickets in the series.
Bangladeshi top order batsman Liton Das advanced to his career best T20 ranking of 47, jumping 26 steps up, scoring 109 runs.
