Sajeeb Wazed Joy in Internet price war

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has asked Internet Service Providers (ISP) to ensure superfast internet of 1 MBPS speed across the country.

Is it possible for Joy to do that? Joy’s this step is now a trend is social Media. The teens wants to cheap internet, and Sajeeb Wazed Joy, as a IcT specialist promised to do that.

But when? Joy, also ICT affairs adviser to the premier, came up with the plea while talking to the ISPs in a view-exchange meeting at Gonobhaban recently. Sajeeb Wazed Joy said the government has been changing the policy to increase the speed and decrease the price of internet removing the barriers in this sector. The government has been working to reach the broadband internet service to the Union Parishad, he added.

Addressing the providers, Joy said the internet service system in Bangladesh is very weak than other countries. So we should overcome the flaws in infrastructure as early as possible. State Minister of ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak and high officials of the internet provider companies were among others present in the meeting.Earlier, Zunaid Ahmed Palak also promised cheaper internet. But the mobile internet price is still now out of teens boundary.
