World’s fastest growing smartphone brand realme has been awarded with the Red-Dot ‘Product Design’ award 2020 for its recent flagship smartphone, realme X2 Pro Master Edition. This award is regarded as the ‘Oscars’ in design industry. It is the first time that realme has won Red Dot Design Award.

Founded by German Design Council, Red Dot’s product design award has been presented for over 60 years, recognizing sign of quality. It is also one of the largest-scale, most influential competition and known as the symbol of high-quality design.

realme X2 Pro Master Edition (Red Brick & Concrete) was co-created by realme and the world-renowned industrial design master Naoto Fukasawa, presents seemingly normal elements and express the beauty of life, which was inspired from textures of common building materials in life. Bringing aesthetic texture to a smartphone, it is adored by many users with its tremendous trendsetting design and exquisite craftsmanship.

In order to render exceptionally high standards for processing, realme created its custom reduced pressure (RP) paint and combined it with industry-leading lacquered glass coating technology. After 32 stages of sanding and testing, the final result is a wonderful frosted touch feeling that brings softness to glass. With the use of PicoSure laser technology fretwork logo and Fukasawa’s signature was engraved on the rear with the finest stroke is just 0.09 mm wide. Thus, the most intricate details can be seen as they were meant to be. With exquisite craftsmanship and design, this great masterpiece has been recognized by the top design award and accoladed by the worldwide consumers, media and industrial experts.

Every Master Edition embodies the beauty of the details of life. It has set a good example for the industry and will also inspire more designers to create more excellent products, insisting on the concept of beginning from the details of life, always keeping people-oriented, removing redundancy, and returning the design to functionality and simplicity.

In 2020, realme promises to become building a ‘Dare to Leap’ tech trendsetter brand, breaking the circle, bringing fashionable culture into technology industry and products featuring both ‘Trendsetting Technology’ and ‘Trendsetting Design’ to the young generation in the world.
