Youth-favourite smartphone brand realme, in collaboration with the Daffodil International University Photographic Society (DIUPS), concluded the National Mobile Photography Contest 2024 with an exciting finale on November 14 at the Knowledge Gallery of Daffodil International University (DIU). The event set new benchmarks and highlighted the exceptional talent in mobile photography.
At the grand finale, 50 standout photos were showcased in an exhibition. Muhammad Amir was named the Grand Winner and received a realme 12 smartphone for his outstanding photo. Shams Nayeem won First Runner-Up, and Kishoresh Bhattacharjee took Second Runner-Up. Special mentions were given to Susmit Das and Tajuddin Ahammed Azam for their great work.
The judging panel featured respected photographers Joy K Roy Chowdhury, known for his street photography, and Thahnan Ferdous, recognized for his lifestyle and documentary work. Curators Rakib Hasan Sumon and Ehsanul Siddiq Aranya, both proficient in street and travel photography, contributed their expertise to ensure the selection of the top photos.
The event was honored by the presence of Darren Zhang, Branding Director of realme Bangladesh, and Professor Dr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Acting Registrar and Dean of the FBE at Daffodil International University (DIU). Additionally, senior officials from both organizations also attended.
The contest started on October 19, 2024, and invited photography enthusiasts from all over the country to share their best work. By November 1, more than 14,000 photos had been submitted by over 3,000 participants, showing just how popular the contest was. The shortlist of 50 standout photos was announced on November 7 after a careful selection process.
realme and DIUPS congratulated all participants and winners for their creativity. This contest proved that mobile photography is a powerful tool for young photographers to share their vision and capture the beauty of the world. Through initiatives like this, realme and DIUPS continue to inspire and support new talent, showing that every photo can tell a unique and meaningful story.
