Printech Bangladesh 2019 to kick off in capital on Thursday

A three-day long PRINTECH Bangladesh 2019 is going to begin on Thursday at International Convention City, Bashundhara in Dhaka.

The international showcase, first ever in Bangladesh, will continue till October 12 to be jointly organised by ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Printing Industries Association of Bangladesh (PIAB), said the organisers at a press conference on Monday.

The International Technology Tradeshow on Printing, Packaging, Consumables Concurrent with SCREENTEX Bangladesh 2019 will showcase the latest in technology in Pre-Press, In-Press, Post-Press, Textile & Garment Printing, Finishing, Converting, Signage, Digital, Non-woven, Corrugation, Paper, Flexible Packaging, Software, Consumables from International Companies.

A strong pavilion of nearly 60 companies  from Indian Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) and Screen Printers Association of India (SPAI) supported by PHD Chamber of Commerce are participating in the event besides exhibitors from China and Bangladesh.

It is an attempt by printing Industries Association of Bangladesh (PIAB) to create an international tradeshow platform helping members in bridging the technology gap and providing them exposure and options to source from New suppliers and learn about the newer technologies being offered at the show. Members from different parts of Bangladesh are expected to visit to witness live demos of new and emerging technologies with face to face meetings for networking.

Shahid Serneabat, Chairman of Printing Industries Association of Bangladesh (PIAB), said, “At present printing sector is an important organ of the national economy of Bangladesh. Infrastructural development, modern technology and technical know-how along with installation of latest world famous machinery including multi-colour printing machine is the need of the hour.

Now about 7,000 printing industries are operating throughout the country, of which almost 2,000 printing houses can be considered modern and updated in technology. International Tradeshows such as PRINTECH Bangladesh 2019 is being organized by us to provide opportunity for members to upgrade and modernize thus uplift the standard of the sector as a whole.”

Shahid continued saying, “We are delighted at the response to this Complete International Tradeshow for the Printing Industry with largest direct participation of overseas companies matching our objective of bringing global technology to the doorsteps of the local industry.

We are thankful for PHD Chamber of Commerce and Members of IPAMA for their support and participation. We hope this good beginning will pave way for bigger editions in the future. We are also happy that Bangladesh is playing host to ASIA PRINT concurrent to our show” informed Tipu Sultan, MD of ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd.”
