The newly-elected Executive Committee of BCS Information General Betar Officer’s Welfare Association (BIGBOWA) paid exuberant tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
21-members Executive Committee of the association paid the homage by placing floral wreath at the portrait of the Father of the Nation in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road No. 32 in the capital this morning.
After placing the wreath, the EC members stood there in solemn silence for one minute as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of Bangladesh’s independence.
The President and the Prime Minister’s speech writer (in status of Secretary) Md Nazrul Islam, General Secretary Sayed Mostafa Kamal and other members of the executive committee of BIGBOWA along with the senior officials of Bangladesh Betar were present on the occasion.
It’s mentionable that on February 12, the 21-members-body elected uncontested as there was no other alternative candidates. The new Committee will run the Association for the next two years.
