Bangladeshi Medicine Company Apex Pharma Ltd. has been awarded the prestigious ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’ (GMP)’ certificate from the Directorate of Pharmacy & Medicine under the ministry of Public Health of Democratic Republic of Congo in recognition of ensuring quality by following good manufacturing practices.
Mr. Sayed Hossen, Head of marketing of Apex Pharma Ltd. received the certificate from the Honorary Consuls of Bangladesh Consulate of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mr. Ziauddin Adil & Mr. Nazir Alam recently in Dhaka. The Director of Apex Pharma Ltd. Mr. Dilip Kajuri along with some others officials were also present during the handover of this certificate.
This GMP certificate has opened the door for Bangladesh to export medicines to central African 11 countries. Mr. Nazir Alam, designated Honorary Consul of Bangladesh Consulate of the Democratic Republic of Congo, said, “Bangladesh has been exporting medicines to many countries in the world for a long time, relatively less in Central African 11 countries.
This achievement of receiving the prestigious GMP certificate for a Bangladeshi Company, namely: Apex Pharma Ltd. from the Directorate of Pharmacy & Medicine, Ministry of Public Health of Democratic Republic of Congo, has opened a new opportunity to explore for the locally manufactured world-class medicines. We believe this is a big milestone for the medicine industry as well as for the country as it will directly contribute to the overall economy. From now on Bangladesh can export medicines to the central African countries anytime”
