High Commissioner for Pakistan to Bangladesh, H.E. Syed Ahmed Maroof hosted a reception in the honour of the National Women Cricket Teams of Pakistan and Bangladesh at Pakistan High Commission, Dhaka.
Today, High Commissioner for Pakistan to Bangladesh, H.E. Syed Ahmed Maroof hosted a reception in the honour of the National Women Cricket Teams of Pakistan and Bangladesh at Pakistan High Commission, Dhaka.
The reception was attended by the members and managements of both teams, members of the diplomatic community, Bangladeshi cricket fans and members of Pakistani community based in Bangladesh.
Welcoming the two teams, High Commissioner Maroof said that the game of cricket was one of the many things that connect the brotherly countries of Bangladesh and Pakistan.
He congratulated the Bangladesh National Women Cricket Team on winning the T20 series and wished both teams the best for Friday’s One Day International, the final match of the three match series, which is presently tied 1-1.
Mr. Shoriful Alam Chowdhury, Chairman of Bangladesh National Women Cricket Team as well as one of the Directors of the Bangladesh Cricket Board thanked the High Commissioner for hosting both the teams.
He also presented a signed jersey of Bangladesh National Women Cricket Team to the High Commissioner.
The guests relished both Pakistani and Bangladeshi food while also enjoying traditional Pakistani music.
