The country is set to vote in the 11th national election Sunday with no mobile internet access available anywhere across 64 districts, reports UNB.
The government has completely shut down mobile internet services across the country, after earlier, the authorities curbed 4G and 3G network services to limit mobile internet following instructions from the election commission to slow down the mobile internet speed.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) sent a letter to all mobile operators around 10:50pm Saturday asking them to implement the directive immediately.
As per the letter, the directive will remain in force until further notice.
