A man has fled to Dubai after allegedly killing his wife in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The victim, identified as Amena Begum, was found dead at an abandoned brick field in Anwara upazila.
Police investigations revealed that Yeasin Arafat, the deceased’s husband and a Dubai-based expatriate, was involved in the murder. He reportedly fled the country two days after the crime.
A case has been registered with the Anwara police station in connection with the murder. Authorities are actively searching for other suspects involved in the incident.
Amena Begum’s father, Kamal Uddin, told local media that his daughter’s husband had lured her to Anwara under the guise of a trip, only to kill her and dispose of her body.
The victim’s second husband, Yeasin Arafat, had apparently remarried without informing her, leading to disputes between the couple.
Police believe that the suspect took Amena Begum to Anwara with the intention of killing her and then fled to Dubai. A manhunt is underway to apprehend him and any other individuals involved in the crime.
