Mahmud Hossain appointed Chief Business Officer

Grameenphone appointed Mr. Mahmud Hossain as Chief Business Officer, heading the newly formed Business division, effective from October 24, 2018.

Prior to this new appointment, Mahmud Hossain had been serving as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Grameenphone. In this new position, he will be leading the growth of the rapidly emerging B2B business segment. He has been working at Grameenphone since 2009 in different management positions.

On taking up the new challenge Mahmud Hossain said, “B2B business in the mobile industry is becoming more technological solution driven and the customers are getting more demanding. It will be an exciting journey for me to explore new opportunities in the business segment.”

Congratulating Mahmud on this occasion, Grameenphone CEO Michael Foley said,” We are all delighted to see Mahmud take on this new role after nine years of leadership in the role of CCAO. We hope to see the B2B business grow under Mahmud’s leadership.”

Mr. Hossain Sadat will be serving as acting CCAO of Grameenphone Ltd., effective from 24 October 2018, in addition to his current role as Head of Regulatory Affairs.
