Likee kicks off campaign to celebrate womanhood

Popular short-video creation and sharing app Likee has recently kicked off an innovative campaign on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2022 to give the women an opportunity to express themselves, show off their ingenuity and celebrate womanhood.
This year, International Women’s Day will be celebrated on 8 March with a campaign theme #BreakTheBias. Every year, this day is celebrated to pay tribute to women for their contributions in the social, economic, cultural and political arena. In solidarity with this day, Likee has organized a campaign to inspire all the women out there to take another step forward towards realizing their rights and achieving equality.
The campaign has begun on 3 March and will continue till 16 March 2022. During the campaign, there will be hashtag activities for only women users of Likee. The user taking part in the campaign must participate in at least 2 of the 4 hashtags (#WomensDay2022, #RoarWomen, #FightBack and #GiftsForHer).
That’s not all – there are rewards as well for the participants. The top 100 videos with the highest likes posted in the 1st week will get to share 3M traffic together (total 100 videos) whereas top 50 videos with the highest likes posted in the 2nd week will get the chance to share 1.5M traffic together (total 50 videos). Also, the best-performed 5 non-creator accounts in each hashtag category will get a Likee exclusive backdrop or cap (total 20 winners).
Gibson Yuen, Head of Likee Global Operations, said, “Since time immemorial, women have been playing instrumental roles for making the society a better place to live in. Every year, we celebrate International Women’s Day to recognize those unsung heroes (women) of our society. Likee has brought in campaigns for women on this occasion to help them express their creativity and pay homage to them.”
“There is no denying that women are indomitable in spirit and they can achieve anything if they want. I thank Likee for their campaigns meant to encourage those women with rock-solid determination to strive for emancipation and independence”, shared Afsana Mim, an influencer and KOL of Likee.
It is mentionable that Likee has also honored 3 female KOLs on the occasion of International Women’s Day for their contributions as influencers in this platform and inspiring others to walk the extra miles for revealing their latent talents. The awarded influencers are – Afsana Mim, Barsha and Suchona Islam.
