ITEE e-Learning Scholarship Award at BUET

BJIT Academy held an award ceremony for scholarship students of the ITEE e-Learning, together with Japanese IT company KJS Inc. It was held at IAC seminar room, CSE department, BUET on Monday 15th June 2015. It is a developing program for Bangladesh IT engineers together with Japan.

The KJS Company CEO, Tsugunobu OGINO was the chief guest of the programme. Speeches were given by BJIT Academy CEO, Javed Hasan, KJS Company Chief Operating Officer Naomi NOZAKI, Executive Director Sayuri OGINO, Consultant Shinnosuke TASAKA.

Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, Professor, Computer Science and Engineering, BUET, were present in the award ceremony.

ITEE (Information Technology Engineers Examination) e-Learning project introduced in October, 2014 with Japanese technical support. This introduction project has been conducted by JICA. This ITEE examination regarded as the gateway of success for IT engineers.

BJIT Academy and KJS Company recruited the scholarship students of ITEE e-Learning, targeting on the 4th grade students of computer science (CSE) division, in BUET, on March 3rd, in this year. As a result, 49 candidates have applied, and pre-exam has been executed. After that, e-Learning program for preparing for ITEE final examination has been distributed for two months, and then, the post mock examination has been executed on May 5th.

BJIT Academy and KJS Company comprehensively considered the results of both pre-exam and the post mock exam, learning status of e-Learning as well as results of the final exam of ITEE, and finally selected the five scholarship students and gave awards to them.

In ITEE e-Learning, movie creation software (ThinkBoard) and learning management system (ThinkBoard LMS) which KJS Company owns were used. BJIT Academy developed the movie for preparing the ITEE exam, and executed the learning management for the students attending lectures by using ThinkBoard LMS.

The project to develop IT engineers which can support the country policy of Digital Bangladesh has just started. Technical support from the Japanese government and JICA, IT support by KJS Company, and educational support by BJIT Academy will play a huge role, in future. In addition, it’s expected that digital Bangladesh will be expanded, led by those students who have been awarded.
