Chris Gayle shows his class and Style again smashing 215 of 147, he has shattered the highest individual run record in World Cup tournaments.
Previously, the WC record was held by Garry Kirsten of South Africa at 188 runs.
In his way to his double century he has hit 16 massive sixes to smash record of over boundaries in a single ODI. In WCs Gayle got the record for himself only. In all formats of cricket he shares the record with AB Devilliers of South Africa and Rohit Sharma of India.
Gayle has also hit 10 boundaries in building his mammoth innings. He needed only another over boundary to set a new record for all formats. But in the very last ball of the innings, which he tried to hit for over boundary flicked up and was saved in the hand of Zimbabwean fielder.
