Imran Hossen is selected as Division Focal Point (Khulna) in Youth Internet Governance Forum Bangladesh.
Youth Internet Governance Forum (YIGF) Bangladesh is an initiative under the umbrella of Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF) in conjunction with the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (UNIGF). It is a multi-stakeholder, youth and youth women-led platform to engage in Internet governance-related issues.
Imran Hossen has been selected as Division Focal Point (Khulna) in Youth Internet Governance Forum Bangladesh 2021 program held on 30-31st July, 2021. The program is hosted for the first time in Bangladesh. The program is sponsored by ICANN, APNIC, Facebook and Google and organized by Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum (BIGF).
At the event, Imran Hossen said he has started a free internet project (Free Wi-Fi) with the help of the municipality from many divisional towns of Khulna since 2014. Now he got another chance to work for Khulna divisional youth on Internet access, governance and policies.
He also talked about the domain name registration process and security at the event.
He wants to work for easy, stable access and safer internet for all.
