The international conference on computer and information technologies (ICCIT) has held at Bangladesh.
Researchers from 14 countries across the world, including, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, India, Fiji, China, Malaysia and Sri Lanka participated in this conference with their research papers.
The two days conference began 22 december morning and is hosted by Daffodil International University, at their permanent campus in Ashulia. State Minister for the ICT Division, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, inaugurated the 17th ICCIT conference, as the chief guest.
Chaired by Md. Sobur Khan, Chairman of DIIU Trust Board, special guest at the launching event was Sham Shundor Shikder, Acting Secretary of the ICT Division.
In his speech, Palak said that extensive work was being undertaken to create a more technologically aware population and security network, through the country’s ICT division. The division has also taken steps to create one million jobs in this sector in the next four years.
Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain, Chairman of DIU’s CSE Department informed that 337 research papers from 28 countries were submitted for the conference. After an international examination, a 100 research papers were shortlisted which are being presented at the conference
Telecom operator Robi is the chief sponsor for this conference with assistance from the ICT division, while tech support is being provided by Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Professionals of computer and information technology, scientists, engineers, teachers and students from various countries across the world also took part in this conference.

Tech strategy discussed by Prof. Balwinder Shukla, VC of India’s Amity University, Prof. Sunil Kumar Khatri, Dr. Anisul Hoque from Canada’s University of Calgary, Dr. Ekushia Mitsgami from Japan’s Osaka University and Dr. Emdad Ahmed from USA’s State University.
