‘Hour of Code’ for Teens

‘Hour of Code’ for Teens

A special initiative titled ‘Computer Science Education Week’ is starting from this Monday. This week long event will be held on 10 different schools in three different division of the country.

Bangladesh Open Source Network Joint Secretary Mr. Jabed Morshed, in a press conference this Saturday, announced about the event. Present in the press conference were Bangladesh Computer Council’s Director (Training) Mr. Enamul Kabir, Dimik Computing School’s Rahmid Rafi, Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forums Director Md. Kawser Uddin, eminent writer Anisul Haque, BdOSN ‘s General Secretary Munir Hasan, Event coordinator Promi Nahid & Zero to Infinity’s Editor Abdullah Al Mahmud etc.
In this press conference, the organizers said that 160 countries around the world will also be observing ‘Computer Science Education Week’. To make this event even more successful the organizers plan to observe ‘Hour of Code’ from December 8-14.
BdOSN and Dimik Computing School will be arranging these events in Dhaka, Chittagong & Sylhet’s top tier 10 school are participating in this event. The schools are: Dhaka College, Motijheel Ideal School and College, Viqarunessa School & College, Government Science College, Rajuk Uttara Model School College, Holy Cross School & College, Sir John Willson School, Chittagong Government College, Blue Bird School & College of Sylhet.
Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) is the platinum Sponsor of the event, in association with ‘Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum’ and Zero to Infinity.
