Hajj package announced

This year, the hajj pilgrims will have to pay Tk 20,571 additional charges for package-1 and Tk 12,641 for package-2.

The cabinet today approved the draft of Hajj Package-2019, fixing the maximum cost for a pilgrim under the government arrangement at Tk 4,18,500 which was Tk 3,97,929, last year.

The minimum expenditure under the arrangement has been fixed at Tk 3,44,000 and it was Tk Tk 3,31,359 the previous year.

This year, a total of 1,27,198 pilgrims will perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia. Of them, 7,198 pilgrims will go to Saudi Arabia under the government arrangement while 1,20,000 will go under the private arrangement.

The pilgrims will have to pay total Tk 4,18,500 to get the facilities under package-1 while Tk 3,44,000 to get the facilities under the Package-2.

The flight fare for the Hajj tickets has been fixed at Tk 1,28,000 this year.
