GRAMEENPHONE INTRODUCED WOWBOX APP

WowBox lifestyle application has been introduced for Grameenphone. Grameenphone WOWBOX APP will give fun. Grammenphone customers today in a move that will expand lifestyle choices for users through easy access to lifestyle promotions and discounts from popular outlets and more by WOWBOX APP.

WowBox, developed by Telenor Digital for Bangladesh, is available exclusively for Grameenphone subscribers. WowBox is available on the Android platform and is free to download and free to use. Users just install the app on their smartphones to earn free data and get great deals and rewards.

Grameenphone Head of Product Hasibul Haque, who was present at the launch said that “We are proud to bring our customers such a evolved lifestyle application. I think Wow Box brings great value for GP subscribers who download and install the app on their phones because it provides rewards that they can use in their everyday lifestyle. Getting rewards for doing something you would do naturally is definitely a winning proposition for anyone.”

Notably the app does not use data from the user’s data plan or account balance as it is zero rated for Grameenphone and selected Grameenphone partners – as long as the users remains within the WowBox app. Additionally, GP Bondhu customers will get a 20 MB free data pack every day (Up to 1 GB in total) from Wow Box.

WowBox offers a wide range of lifestyle benefits to users, such as daily articles, discounts at popular hotels, restaurants, cafes, concert/movie tickets, contests and so on. However, most of these user benefits are limited to only Bondhu users at this time. The offers will be gradually opened up for the rest of the GP customer base.

An added attraction for GP Bondhu subscribers is that everything they buy through the app – data packages, SMS packages, or other available products –will earn them tokens. Accumulated tokens can be exchanged for free data packages or package upgrades from Grameenphone through the WowBox app.

While Grameenphone non-Bondhu customers will not be able to claim daily free data, buy discounted data plans or claim offers, they will still find the full range of daily news & sports updates and other happenings, horoscopes, jokes and competitions, as well as blogs on cooking, technology, fashion, among others, at their fingertips.
