Grameenphone, the leading communication and digital service provider of the country, has recently signed MoUs with CMED Health Ltd. and Inovace Technologies to take Internet of Things (IoT) a step further. The signing ceremony was held at GPHouse.
The MoUs were signed by Abul Kasem Mohiuddin Al-Amin, Chief Procurement Officer of Grameenphone. Khondaker Abdullah Al Mamun, PhD; Chairman of CMED Health and Minhaz Khan, Managing Director of Inovace signed the MoUs on behalf of respective organizations. Mahmud Hossain, Chief Business Officer of Grameenphone was also present during the signing ceremony.
Under the framework of these MoUs; Grameenphone, CMED & Inovace will collaborate for development & implementation of IoT based cutting-edge applications in accordance with crucial requirements of Bangladesh. CMED Health Ltd., a graduated startup from GP Accelerator Program, has built a smart health monitoring system which facilitates measurement, cloud-based storage and notification for different health parameters (like blood pressure, pulse, weight, height, temperature etc.) through connected devices. Inovace Technologies has built a biometric access based smart attendance system connected through GP M2M Plan (which covers various data packs, self-service portals, industrial SIM cards, and telco-grade security features).
The Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enable these objects to connect and exchange data to enhance the users’ lifestyle.
