Digital Device and Innovation Expo begins today (Monday) in the capital to introduce the locally manufactured innovative products and services.
ICT Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, iDEA, Access to Information programme and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) jointly organise the three-day expo for the first time of its kind.
ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak detailed about the programme at a press conference at Pan Pacific Dhaka on Sunday night.
Organisers informed that Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen is scheduled to inaugurate the exposition at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in capital’ Agargaon area.
State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the exposition will showcase the made-in-Bangladesh products and services to inspire new generations in technology development.
“There will be a separate zone for local organisations who are manufacturing technological products. Digital Bangladesh is not a dream now, it is reality. We all are enjoying the facilities of Digital Bangladesh. We are also advancing towards the road of development,” Palak added.
Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum (NDC) and BCS President Md Shahid-Ul-Munir were present at the press briefing.
The exposition with slogan “Made in Bangladesh” will give emphases on exploring the innovation of students.
The organisers said although the entree to the expo is totally free, but the visitors are needed to register online or take help of spot registration to enjoy the exhibition. The expo arena will open for all at 10am and will close at 8pm at.
