DevFest starts

The 3rd developer’s conference was held in the country on Saturday, the 29th of November. Titled as the ‘DevFest’ this conference helps to teach developers on a variety of topics at a very basic level.

This event took place at the United International University campus in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, while similar events were held in Rajshahi and Khulna with wonderful response from local developers.

At the DevFest, a variety of topics were discussed and these include: inspirational talk, cloud computing, women entrepreneurship, freelancing opportunity, wearables, Android design, cyber security, internet android, etc.

Google Developer Group’s Manager Arif Nizami said that about 200 people attended the conference in Dhaka, while another 150 were present at the conferences held in Rajshahi and Khulna. This year, about 900 people signed up for the conference. He also said that they have been organizing these conferences since 2011, where primarily different problems and opportunities, challenges, ideas, community development, and other issues are discussed.

He further stated that this is the first time in Bangladesh that Android Design Sprint was held and he hopes that through this initiative, developers will be eager to do much better work in the future.
