The purpose of this program is to create awareness about cancer and to support the many who are battling cancer. The program will be followed by a seminar and a cultural program featuring singer Tahsan Khan; only for CIU students and their guardians. CIU students have a booth open since 10th March 2019 to sell tickets for the concert to raise funds. Participating in the concert can make a difference in the lives of a patient and their families facing the realities of cancer.
In the Seminar, renowned educationist and Founder & Principal of Sunshine Grammar School & College, Mrs. Safia Ghazi Rahman has been invited as the chief guest and the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Chittagong Independent University (CIU) Professor Dr. Mahfuzul Hoque Chowdhury will be the Guest of Honor in the program. Furthermore, Dr. Tapas Mitra a cancer specialist and Nutritionist Dr. Hasina Akter Lipi are the key spokespersons. Ayman Sadiq, Founder and CEO of 10 Minute School, has been invited as the guest speaker for the program.

CIU-Social Welfare Society is a Nonprofit Social Organization of Chittagong Independent University. Students of this reputed university formed the club in 2013. This is a big platform for students to learn and participate in social responsibility activities. It is one of the oldest university clubs in Chittagong. Many social redresses and prevention works have been taken on by the club and many more are yet to come.
