bKash customers can now reset PIN on their own

If bKash account is blocked due to forgetting PIN or inserting wrong PIN several times, customers can now reset their PIN by verifying some necessary information all by themselves. Country’s largest mobile financial service provider, bKash has brought this service with latest technology to ensure maximum security of the customers’ bKash account as well as to empower them more.
By clicking on the link- https://www.bkash.com/pin-reset, customers can find out how to reset their PIN step by step.
Personal Identification Number (PIN) is the most important requirement for completing any bKash transaction. Security of bKash account depends on keeping the PIN number confidential. For bKash users, the PIN is set by the customers and only the user knows his/her PIN. This means, once the PIN is set, it is automatically secured and no one can get the PIN from the automated system. In case of forgetting PIN, there is no chance for the customer as well as anybody else to know the previous PIN.
If PIN is forgotten, bKash gives a customer the opportunity to reset it by generating a temporary PIN. Usually, customers get temporary PIN upon new PIN reset request by providing required information via the customer care number 16247, live chat option on bKash Facebook page and email communication.
bKash has introduced this service which will allow the users to verify their own account and reset their PIN through USSD channel *247#. Customer needs to choose option number 9 after dialing USSD code *247# to start the PIN Reset process. In the next step, the National Identity Card/Driving License/Passport number should be typed with which the account was opened. In next step, four digits of birth year should be provided. After that the customer has to give any of the information of last 10 outgoing transactions within last 90 days. If there is not any, customer should select ‘No Transaction’ option and proceed. If all information are correct, the customer will receive a five digit temporary PIN. Then the customer needs to dial *247# or open bKash app to reset new PIN on their own.
After receiving the temporary PIN in SMS, customer can tap on ‘Forgot PIN?’ button from the login page to reset the PIN in bKash app. In next step, bKash account number should be entered. In last step, customer can reset the PIN by inserting One Time Password (OTP), temporary PIN, 5 digit new PIN and re-entering the new PIN. The five digits of the new PIN should be jumbled; not sequential or anything starting with the number 0.
To reset the PIN on USSD channel, customer needs to dial *247# and select ‘Change Mobile Menu PIN’ from ‘My bKash’ option. In the next step, the ‘Temporary PIN’ should be given in the place of ‘Old PIN’. The customer will then be able to successfully reset the PIN by entering new 5 digit PIN and re-entering it once again.
