‘bKash App’ wins award at Bangladesh Innovation Award 2018

bKash customer app has been recognized as the best innovation at Financial Innovation Category in Bangladesh Innovation Award 2018 for its simplified and useful features. Bangladesh Brand Forum organized the award program powered by MasterCard.

BKash launched the customer app in April 2018, making financial transactions easier and simple via smartphone by adding innovative features such as QR code for merchant payment, Bangla text and voice prompt for users with low literacy and numeracy skills.

Mir Nawbut Ali, Chief Marketing Officer of bKash said, “bKash app brings lots of innovation to simplify the financial transaction experiences of Bangladeshi Mobile Financial Service users. bKash is working to empower more people and unlock newer possibilities enriching their lives through simplified financial services. This award is recognitionto our hard effort and will encourage us to bring more innovations in our services.”

Launched in 2011, bKash, a joint venture of BRAC Bank, US based Money in Motion, International Finance Corporation of World Bank Group, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and China based Ant Financial(Ali Pay) , an affiliate of Alibaba Group offers broad range of mobile financial services to the common people of Bangladesh.
