bdapps, Robi Axiata PLC’s mobile application platform, hosted bdapps Award Night 2024 on 31 January at Dhaka’s Lakeshore Hotel, celebrating the achievements of its top-performing Campus Ambassadors and She Squad leaders for their contributions to Bangladesh’s digital ecosystem.
Distinguished guests, including Shafiq Shamsur Razzaq, Acting Head of Digital VAS & New Business at Robi Axiata PLC.; Abdur Rakib, Co-Founder of Programming Hero; Biplob Ghosh Rahul, Founder of eCourier Ltd.; and Taneem Islam, CEO of Miaki, attended the event, inspiring the next generation of tech leaders.
Shafiq Shamsur Razzaq praised the community’s dedication, stating, “Events like these showcase the incredible talent within bdapps. We are proud to see these programmes thrive and look forward to an even brighter future.”
The Campus Ambassador Programme, launched in 2021, now spans more than 120 universities, engaging thousands of student developers.
At the award event, top performers were awarded a MacBook Air, a high-end smartphone, and a smartwatch, with the top ten receiving tech gadgets and all ambassadors earning certificates for their achievements in 2024.
The She Squad Programme has mentored more than 1,750 female developers under 60 leaders, strengthening women’s presence in tech. This year’s top performers earned international and domestic travel rewards. With 70 new She Squad leaders onboarded, bdapps continues to champion inclusivity in technology.
The event featured live entertainment, networking, and an orientation for the 2025 inductees.
