Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) President Shameem Ahsan deeply mourns the death of Independence Day Award winner eminent and renowned artist Qayyum Chowdhury.
Currently visiting in USA, Shameem Ahsan in a condolence Message on Monday morning said “Veteran artist late Qayyum Chowdhury has been a prominent personality in the field of art, culture and creativity. Through his paintings he has portrayed the folk life, tradition and culture of Bangladesh. He played a significant role in the Liberation War and other democratic revolutions of our country. He has received a number of awards such as the Independence Day Award and Ekushey Padak for his invaluable contribution to the country. He was a man of multi-dimensional talent and his death would create a deep void in the world of art and creativity”.
BASIS President, on behalf of the Executive Council members and all BASIS members, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
