Banglalink to distribute relief among 14,500 households amid winter and pandemic

Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers in the country, is going to distribute relief among 14,500 households affected by the ongoing pandemic and winter season. The relief will be distributed in association with Bangladesh Sena Kalyan Sangstha and Bangladesh Army.

Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink and Air Commodore M Moyeenuddin, Acting Chairman, Bangladesh Sena Kalyan Sangstha signed an agreement regarding the relief campaign on behalf of their respective organizations at Sena Kalyan Sangstha’s head office in Dhaka. Muniruzzaman Sheikh, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, Banglalink, Ankit Sureka, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability, Banglalink, Hasinul Quddus, Head of Stakeholder Relations, Banglalink, Mohammad Adil Hossain, Head of Ethics and Compliance Operation, Banglalink and Brigadier General Ohidul Alam Chowdhury, PPM, SPP, ndc, psc, DG, RED, Bangladesh Sena Kalyan Sangstha were also present at the signing ceremony.

Each relief pack from Banglalink will comprise 5 kg rice, 1 kg pulse, 1 litre oil, 0.5 kg semolina, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg salt and 2 bars of soap.

Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink said, “Considering the plight of thousands of households affected by the pandemic, flood and winter season, we have decided to come forward with the relief campaign for the third time this year. As a socially responsible corporation, we always try to stand by the communities during challenging times. I want to thank Bangladesh Sena Kalyan Sangstha and Bangladesh Army once again for helping us reach out to the affected families living in different parts of the country.”

Air Commodore M Moyeenuddin, Acting Chairman, Bangladesh Sena Kalyan Sangstha said, “The people of a few parts of the country are facing difficult situations due to corona pandemic, cold wave and post flood difficulties. We really appreciate the initiative that Banglalink has taken in order to help the affected households during this difficult time. I believe that such a collaborative effort can set a good example by leaving a positive impact on the society.”

Earlier this year, Banglalink also extended support to more than 35,500 pandemic-affected households in two phases.
