Banglalink signs MoU with UIU to facilitate students’ learning & skill development

Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers in the country, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United International University (UIU) to provide its students with an opportunity to upskill themselves by learning from Banglalink professionals and participating in various programs.
Erik Aas, Chief Executive Officer, Banglalink, Monzula Morshed, Chief Human Resources & Administration Officer, Banglalink, Ayesha Saeed, Head of Talent Management, Banglalink, Ankit Sureka, Head of Corporate Communications & Sustainability, Banglalink, Aurthima Naznoor, Talent Management Lead Specialist, Banglalink, Moinuddin Hasan Rashid, Chairman & Managing Director, United Enterprises & Co. Ltd., Professor Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, Vice Chancellor, UIU and Manjurul Haque Khan, Director, Career Counseling Center, Director, Directorate of Student Affairs, UIU participated in the signing ceremony, which was held virtually due to the pandemic situation.
Along with joining Banglalink’s youth empowerment programs such as Learn from the Leaders, Learn from the Startups, Campus to Corporate, Career Bootcamp, Womentor, Ennovators, Strategic Assistant Program, Advanced Internship Program and Campus Ambassador Program, UIU students will study Banglalink’s cases as part of their curriculum under this agreement.
Monzula Morshed, Chief Human Resources & Administration Officer, Banglalink said, “We believe that youngsters need more and more learning opportunities to prepare themselves for their professional life in today’s highly competitive world. With a view to facilitating this process, Banglalink has been running a number of programs. Through our partnership with UIU, we want to offer its students an opportunity to participate in these programs and get valuable career advice from our highly experienced professionals.
“Moinuddin Hasan Rashid, Chairman & Managing Director, United Enterprises & Co. Ltd. said, “Collaboration between Banglalink and UIU will hugely benefit students in terms of acquiring skills and knowledge required by industry, as we know that in many cases skill gap is the root cause of unemployment. I hope that Banglalink-UIU collaboration will support from curriculum development to students’ industry oriented skill development to joint research initiatives in near future. And if it happens, it will be a milestone example of Industry-Academia collaboration in Bangladesh.”
Professor Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, Vice Chancellor, UIU said, “The MoU between UIU and Banglalink is another good example of industry academia collaboration. This MoU will bring in industry readiness among the students and enable lifelong learning from the Banglalink employees through different joint activities.”

The virtual signing ceremony was followed by a Learn from the Leaders session conducted by Erik Aas, Chief Executive Officer, Banglalink.
