Banglalink SDG Hackathon Code for a Cause- calls for submissions

Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers in Bangladesh, has officially started the submission phase of ‘Banglalink SDG Hackathon Code for a Cause”, a program launched in association with Preneur Lab and GDG Dhaka to encourage innovative youngsters’ participation in solving socio-economic problems related to SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) through innovative digital initiatives.

Tech enthusiasts, programmers and problem solvers with passion for coding and design can participate in the 24-hour long Hackathon, which will be held from 22-23 December, 2018. In order to participate, interested candidates have to form a team consisting of 3 members and submit their innovative ideas on solving problems related to 5 SDG thematic areas – Quality Education, Gender Equality, Industries-Innovation-Infrastructure, Climate Action and Sustainable Cities &Communities – visiting this website: https://sdghackathon.banglalink.net/. All the necessary information about the Hackathon can be found on the aforementioned website. The deadline for the submission is 17 December, 2018.

The teams eligible for participation in the competition will be selected through an initial screening, and they will get the opportunity to showcase their problem-solving skills at the24-hourlong program that includes a pitching session in front of an esteemed panel of Judges. On the basis of the efficiency and uniqueness of the proposed solutions, the Judges will announce the winning team, which will get a lucrative partnership opportunity from Banglalink.
