Bangladesh Health Awareness Night in Farrer Park Hospital

Held for the second time this year on 9th November 2018, the Health Awareness Night was exclusively organized for the Bangladeshi community in Singapore, at One Farrer Hotel Ballroom. Mr Md. Mustafizur Rahman, High Commissioner of People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Singapore and Mr Mohd. Shahiduzzaman, President of Bangladesh Business Chamber, Singapore graced the event as our Guests of Honor. Among those present for the event were, key officials from Bangladesh High Commission, members of Bangladesh Business Chamber and members of Bangladesh Society.

As a corporate member of Bangladesh Business Chamber of Commerce, we are honored to hold this significant event to further strengthen our ties with the Bangladeshi community in Singapore. Medical Specialists namely Dr Jeffrey Chew, Dr Julian Tan and Dr Alvin Ng from ) were on hand to share insights on topics ranging from Robotic Knee and Hip Replacement, the latest medical technology advancement which is only available in FPH; Makoplasty, Coronary Artery Disease to Chronic Obstruction Pulmonary Disease. FPH Emergency Clinic team was on hand to provide basic health checks including blood pressure and blood glucose test, as an introduction to the department.

Farrer Park Hospital has worked with like-minded organisations to bring our doctors to Dhaka almost every quarter to share the latest in medical treatment and advancement. We also host doctors from Bangladesh to tour our hospital facilities and learn from our doctors here.” Added Dr Peng Chung Mien, CEO of Farrer Park Hospital.

Raising the standards of healthcare through the medical community brings benefits to a wider community. Heartened by the high level of participation, we will continue to reach out with more Health Awareness activities for the benefit of all.
