Recently, the organization started its journey by forming a district committee in a colorful event at the Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park Auditorium in Jessore. The organization will work in different districts of the country by forming committees continuously.
The government has taken initiative to provide ID cards to six and a half lakh freelancers to ensure their professional identity. On November 25 last year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially inaugurated the issuance of virtual ID cards. And BFDS is working to organize freelancers across the country.
BFDS chairman Dr. Tanjiba Rahman said, ‘We are starting work across the country. Bangladesh Freelancer Development Society will take new initiatives for the development of freelancers in the country.’
Hosne Ara Begum, Managing Director, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, NDC was the chief guest at the inaugural conference in Jessore, chaired by Tanjiba Rahman. The keynote speaker was former Education Secretary Nazrul Islam Khan. Jasim Uddin Joy, Senior Vice President, BFDS and Zaheer Iqbal, Organizing Secretary, BFDS delivered welcome speeches.
The conference highlighted various initiatives for young society and various directions of freelancers to create skilled employment in the country.
The invited guests handed over the crest of honor to the parents of the late Fahim ul Karim, the inspiration of the freelancers. At the end of the discussion, a panel discussion was held under the chairmanship of BFDS General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman.
