With a view to expand software and IT enabled service of Bangladesh in European market, a business to business (B2B) matchmaking has been held today at BASIS under Netherlands Trust Fund NTF III Bangladesh project. Fifty matchmaking meetings were held between 5 European companies and 22 Bangladeshi companies. The program was organized by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) in association with CBI, The Netherlands, International Trade Center (ITC) and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI).
It is expected that European investment in our IT sector will be increased and the business relation between the participating countries will be strengthened through these matchmaking sessions.
BASIS President Mr. Shameem Ahsan expressed that, different seminars, conferences and B2B matchmakings are being organized regularly at home and abroad to showcase Bangladeshi IT sector over the international ICT market. As a part of this, 5 European companies have come here to find their right kind of business partner in Bangladesh. “I hope the bilateral business relationship will be strengthened further and investment opportunities will be increased” he added”.
National Project Coordinator of NTF III Bangladesh project Mr. Mafuzul Quader told that, there will be more B2B matchmaking sessions in both Europe and Bangladesh till the middle of 2017 under this project. The main objective of this initiative is to increase export revenue from IT and ITES sector of Bangladesh and explore investment opportunity.
