Augmedix Bangladesh offers opportunities to work with US Doctors

Information Technology Company Augmedix Bangladesh is offering employment to work with US Doctors. Augmedix Bangladesh organized “Augmedix Scribe Achiever’s Night” on Sunday, 23rd September 2018, at Dhaka Club to celebrate the success of developing nearly 200 Medical Scribes to work with US doctors. At the event, Augmedix Bangladesh shared a long-term vision and strategy to generate 2000+ middle income jobs by 2021 and to forge exciting long-term career paths for the scribs throughout Bangladesh. It was only in 2017 that Augmedix Bangladesh developed the first batch of graduating Medical Scribes.

This batch, and subsequent batches, have begun to work hand in hand with doctors throughout the US, and several have even been successfully been promoted to become Training Specialists. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister, ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology was present as Chief Guest. Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director of SQUARE Group was present as special guest alongside other distinguished guest from LICT, SEIP, BACCO, and other leading business and IT institutions. Ian Shakil, Founder & Chairman of Augmedix Inc. shared his vision for how Augmedix is going to use artificial intelligence (AI) to train scribes faster, to supercharge scribe productivity, and to upskill scribes.

Rashed Noman, Managing Director of Augmedix Bangladesh, shared how Augmedix looks forward to the continued support from the ICT Division, Government of Bangladesh, through their LICT Program to assist in achieving their ambitions of creating sustainable middle-income jobs and leading towards the goal of a “Digital Bangladesh 2021”. The company looks forward to the continuous support from ICT Division of Government of Bangladesh to establish technology-enabled Scribing as a foreign currency earning profession for the young generations of Bangladesh.

Bangladeshi-origin Ian Shakil founded Augmedix in 2012, in San Francisco, with the mission to re-humanize the doctor-patient interaction. Augmedix provides a platform that enables doctors to wear Glass (produced by Alphabet’s X division) as they see patients, while remote medical scribes in Bangladesh fill out the electronic medical records in real-time based on what they hear and see from the visit.

Augmedix Bangladesh won the 1st Runner-up Award (Health and Well-being Category) in the 1st BASIS ICT Award in 2017 and 1st Runner-up Award (Health and Well-being Category) in the 17th APICTA Award in 2017. The future plan of Augmedix Bangladesh is to create “high purpose” jobs and recruit world-class engineers and scribes across Bangladesh.
