APICTA Awards 2018 has kicked off in Guangzhou, China. This year, 81 delegates from Bangladesh have participated in this global event taking place from 9-13 October. BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir is leading the delegation. BASIS Senior Vice President Farhana A Rahman, Vice President (Admin) a& Hon’ble Judge of APICTA Shoeb Ahmed Masud, Director & Hon’ble Judge of APICTA Didarul Alam, Bangladesh Coordinator in APICTA Mostafizur Rahaman Sohel and Hon’ble Judge of APICTA Abdullah H Kafi have also joined the delegation.
APICTA 2018 has kicked off with grand celebration. At the inauguration program host of APICTA’18, Chinese Coordinator of APICTA and Guangdong Software Industry Assoiation (GDSIA)’s Secretary General Lyu Hui and APICTA’s Chairman Stan Singh delivered their remarks. Along with BASIS EC, BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir represented Bangladesh at the opening ceremony. After the inaugural ceremony, EXCO Meeting and Judges Meeting took place. From 10 October onwards formal judging session has begun. On 11 October Bangladesh delegation took part in Guangzhou Night. At that program Bangladesh delegation highlighted Bangladesh’s cultural heritage. Bangladesh delegation will also take part in PWTC expo. On 13 October with Award Giving Ceremony & Gala Night this year’s APICTA will come to an end.
Mr. Ehsanul Parvez, Joint Secretary (Organizational Support & Innovation Branch), ICT Division and Dr. Muhammed Mehedi Hassan, Deputy Secretary (ICT Promotion Section), ICT Division has also joined Bangladesh Delegation.
In 2016 Bangladesh took part in APICTA Awards for the 1st time. In 2017, Bangladesh won 1 Champion & 14 Merit Awards in APICTA 2017.
