Ami Probashi, a platform working towards digitizing the migration process, has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Probashir Taxi. This MoU will now ensure both parties to work on Probasir Taxi’s taxi service for migrant workers available within the Ami Probashi platform for its 2 Million+ users.
Ami Probashi is an app created for Bangladeshis willing to work abroad to get to know step by step processes starting from how to start the migration journey till their arrival at their destination. This is a platform for aspiring migrants that offers BMET registration, search for relevant jobs, connect to government-approved agents, and avail airport assistance features, authorized medical centers, job postings, nearby passport offices, nearby DEMO offices amongst a host of other services.
Redwan Ul Haque, Head of Products, Ami Probashi said “This signing will surely add a new value in our app and for the users as Ami Probashi users will be able to avail the Probashir Taxi service through the app. This will benefit Ami Probashi, Probashir Taxi as well the other stakeholders (mostly migrant workers) since availing the service will become easier benefiting a great number of migrants returning from abroad.”
Probashir Taxi provides some useful services like employment, safe migration, taxi service, shuttle service, air ticketing etc to the migrant workers. They are working on transporting passengers affordably only from the airport through an online system and a hotline number. The platform allows the visiting migrant workers to book a taxi from airports to drop off anywhere within Bangladesh at a reasonable cost. The drivers working in the taxi service are also skilled returnee migrants.
Al Amin Nayan, Chairman, Probashir Taxi said, “Visiting expatriates have to suffer a lot at the airport to reach home after arriving due to harassment of the taxi or car business syndicate along with extra cost. Also, the concept of ‘Probashir Taxi’ is one of the various initiatives to bring back the employment of returnee expatriates who are suffering from acute unemployment. This MoU signing will render a mutual platform for a one stop solution that will enable migrants a hassle free commute.”
The signing took place at the Ami Probashi headquarter. Redwan Ul Haque, Head of Products, Ami Probashi and Al Amin Nayan, Chairman, Probashir Taxi signed the MoU representing respective organizations.
