Airtel Bangladesh Limited, the fastest growing telecom operator of the country has partnered a mountain bike challenge and marathon with Pedrollo NK Limited. The two day event was recently organized by Bangladesh Adventure Club (BAC) and took place in Halda Valley Tea Garden.
The Mountain Bike Challenge took place on occasion of Pedrollo pump serving 30 years in Bangladesh and also in celebration of World Water Day and International Year of Soils. Pedrollo Mountain Bike race was a personal challenge to complete a 30km tea trail mountain bike race at Halda Valley Tea Garden in Chittagong. The prize money for the 30 kilometer mountain bike race was as below:
-A GIANT MTB BIKE FOR CHAMPION
-A GIANT MTB BIKE FOR 1ST RUNNER UP
-A GIANT MTB BIKE FOR 2ND RUNNER UP
The ‘Run for Water’ (Tea Trail Trekking) involved a 21 kilometer half marathon trail run for men and a 10 kilometer race for women. The top prize for the 21 kilometer marathon was BDT 15k for each of the winners in both men and women categories.
