The Ministry of Land is soon going to present the Bangladeshi citizens with the next (2nd) generation mutation system ‘Smart Mutation’. Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury directed the development of this system to facilitate mutation applications more easily, quickly, and safely.
A demonstration of the ‘Smart Mutation’ system was showcased today at Bhumi Bhaban in the capital, where Land Secretary Md. Khalilur Rahman witnessed the system’s capabilities. The event was attended by Chairman of Land Reform Board Md. Abdus Sabur Mondal BPAA, officials from the Ministry of Land and its subordinate offices/agencies, and officials from field-level Land Offices.
Following the demonstration, land officials actively engaged in providing constructive feedback, which will be meticulously incorporated into the ongoing development of the ‘Smart Mutation’ system.
Leveraging the experience gained from the current 1st generation e-mutation system, which has been operational for almost the last 6 years, the development of the ‘Smart Mutation’ system has been shaped by the input of all stakeholders, including land service recipients, providers, and developers.
Salient features during the development of the artificial intelligence technology-enabled smart mutation system include emphasizing user-centric design, seamless integration with essential services, automation, efficient workflow management, critical analytics and reporting, robust digital security, and a commitment to an open data governance policy.
The ‘Smart Mutation’ system will be integrated into the ‘Smart Land Service’ portal (https://land.gov.bd/), replacing the current mutation system, ‘E-Mutation’.
