RUET CSE Fest 2K22 names a bunch of winners of this ICT based competition. An announcement event and award ceremony event has recently been organized at RUET campus with the presence of renowned academics from different universities.
Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sheikh, Vice-Chancellor of RUET, graced the event as the Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. Md. Al Mamun, Head of Department of CSE, RUET as Organizing Chair. Besides, Prof. Dr. Md. Shahid Uz Zaman, Prof. Dr. Boshir Ahmed from RUET CSE department, Shahriar Manzoor, Associate Professor of Southeast University were present as Special Guests. Md. Taufiqur Rahman, Senior Manager, Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited joined from Huawei, the technology partner of this event.
RUET CSE Fest, one of the biggest tech carnivals for the curious minds of Bangladesh, was kicked off on 16 April 2022. This year, more than two thousand students registered to take part in this event. Out of them, the juries selected more than 700 students as eligible participants from 70+ universities based on their projects and idea. With these students, the main event was held from June 03-04, 2022.
From those 700 students, 24 teams and three individuals came out as winners in different segments, namely Inter-University Programming Contest, Project Showcasing, Idea/Poster Contest, Line Follower Robot, Gaming Contest, Tech Photo Exhibition and Quiz Contest. The winners received a total prize money of over BDT 3,50,000 from the Chief Guest. All of the participants have expressed joy for providing them such an opportunity.
Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sheikh, Vice-Chancellor of RUET, said on this occasion, “I congratulate all the winners of this fest. This fest has been really a good occasion for the youth to show off their skills and innovative ideas. This arrangement has helped the participants to apply their knowledge for developing projects and take part in something as vibrant as this competition.”

Along with this competition, our other programs such as ‘Seeds for the Future’ are designed to make the youth ready for future”, shared Yuying Karl, Head of Public Affairs and Communications Department, Huawei Bangladesh.
It is mentionable that Huawei has been facilitating the youth for a long time to develop a sound ICT ecosystem in Bangladesh. Huawei has also been helping the country reap benefits of digital transformation through different initiatives such as the Seeds for the Future and Bangladesh ICT Skills Competition.
