Grameenphone, the most preferred digital service provider of the country, now has 15 million fans on its Facebook page.This has made Grameenphone page the most liked page among all Bangladeshi fan pages on Facebook.
Since the launch of 4G early this year, spread of internet has gained new momentum with mass adoption of digital services and online applications by consumers, enterprises, and the government. GP’s nationwide network touches almost every corner of the country and is preferred network for 37 million data customers.
Speaking on the occasion, Yasir Azman, Deputy CEO and CMO of Grameenphone said,” This is another sign of our growing digital presence. Our Facebook page is a great engagement platform where we not only provide our customers with company information or responding to their queries but engage them on different social issues. People like this page as they can depend on it like they do on our network.”
Starting in 2007, the GP’s presence on Facebook has grown substantially over the years. By early 2017, the number of Facebook fans reached 10 million. While it took 10 years to reach 10 million fans another 5 million added in less than 2 years.
Grameenphone’s Facebook fan page is used as an engagement platform where customers get answers of their queries, solve their problems and provide feedback. The company keeps its fans engaged through various messages, announcements, and updates on various social issues. The company has a dedicated team working round the clock to handle customer queries, answering every comment within a few minutes, which is applicable to 98% of all the queries.
